There is a lot of Confusion about the Emergent Church, and their Beliefs. The Emergent Church avoids: Definitions, Statements of Faith, and Boundaries, as they Embrace Postmodern Thinking and Mystery.

SO4J-TV set out to Find Out — What is the Emergent Church?

SO4J-TV Host Martha Mac interviewed Pastor & Author Bob DeWaay about the Emergent Church, and about his Book “The Emergent Church-Undefining Christianity.” The Purpose of this DVD is to Define as clearly as possible what the Emergent Church Believes, despite all the confusing Postmodern Theology.

SO4J-TV came up with it’s own detailed list of some of 6 the Many Beliefs that are Common in the Emergent Church:

Don’t believe in a Future Judgment or a Literal Hell
Don’t believe Jesus died on the Cross to Pay for our Sins
Don’t believe we can know Absolute Biblical Truth
Believe in Spiritual Experiences more than Scripture
Embrace Mystical Practices not found in God’s Word
Beliefs based more on Feelings & Imaginations than the Bible
